StoreMaker is acknowledged by collectors the world over for making the best 1/43 and 1/24 scale model automobiles.

For those of you that do not know, 1/43 is the most collectible scale worldwide. The models are 1/43 the size of the actual car, or about 4-1/2" to 5" in length. The 1/24 scale models range from 4" to 7-1/2". Our models are all hand-built in our factory located in North Hollywood, California. These models should not be confused with less expensive models mass produced overseas. Here's what makes our models so special:

After we have chosen a specific car to model, we spend many hours taking measurements and shooting photos. This is done so our master model maker can capture the shape and feel of the car as he creates the original master. When the master is finished, it is checked against the full size car. Any discrepancies are noted and corrected before it is used for making the molds for the production castings.

Each piece (and some models contain as much as 60 pieces) is hand cast in metal alloy then cleaned and inspected for imperfections. Pieces to be painted are cleaned, sanded, primered, sanded, and then painted in a controlled, dust-free environment with multiple coats of authentic automotive paint. This painting process alone takes up to ten days.
The sub-assemblies are brought together and carefully fitted onto the chassis interior pieces such as door handles, window cranks, etc. are attached when called for. The body is then attached to the chassis. Exterior trim piece, window frames, door handles, tail lights, spot lights, windshield wipers, etc. are then fitted to the body.

This entire process takes six weeks or longer. The result is a work of art that can be admired for its workmanship and beauty as well as being a model of a dazzling automobile
